Haifan Yin (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering and the M.Sc. degree in electronics and information engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Télécom ParisTech in 2015. From 2009 to 2011, he was with Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, China, working on the implementation of the TD-LTE baseband systems as a Research and Development Engineer. From 2016 to 2017, he was a DSP Engineer with Sequans Communications (an IoT chipmaker based in Paris, France). From 2017 to 2019, he was a Senior Research Engineer working on 5G standardization with Shanghai Huawei Technologies Company, Ltd., where he made substantial contributions to 5G standards, particularly the 5G codebooks. Since May 2019, he has been with the School of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as a Full Professor. His current research interests include 5G and 6G networks, signal processing, machine learning, massive MIMO, and reconfigurable intelligent surface. He was a Winner of Academic Advances of HUST in 2020.
