Yue Cao (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the Institute for Communication Systems (ICS) formerly known as Centre for Communication Systems Research, University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K., in 2013. Further to his PhD study, he had conducted a Research Fellow with the University of Surrey, and academic faculty with Northumbria University, U.K., Lancaster University, U.K., and Beihang University, Beijing, China. He is currently a Professor with the School of Cyber Science and Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. His research interests include intelligent transport systems, including E-Mobility, V2X, and edge computing.

武汉大学-国家网络安全学院教授、系统安全与可信计算所所长，之江实验室高级访问学者，英国高等教育学会会士，IEEE高级会员，中国汽车工程学会-青年工作委员会委员。

本科毕业于武汉工程大学-通信工程专业，硕士毕业于英国萨里大学-移动通信系统专业，博士毕业于英国萨里大学-5G创新中心电子工程专业，期间任该中心博士后研究员，历任英国诺森比亚大学-计算机与信息科学系高级讲师、英国兰卡斯特大学-计算机与通信学院国际讲师、北京航空航天大学-交通科学与工程学院教授。
