Jie Gong (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively.,From July 2012 to January 2013, he visited Institute of Digital Communications, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, U.K. From July 2013 to October 2015, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Scholar with Tsinghua University. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. His research interests include green communications and networking, energy harvesting technology, mobile edge computing, and age of information. He was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award from IEEE Communications Society Asia-Pacific Board in 2013. He served as a TPC Member for IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, IEEE WCNC, IEEE/CIC ICCC, and APCC. He was selected as IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (WCL) Exemplary Reviewer in 2016. He has been the Publicity Co-Chair for IEEE Globecom 2019 Workshop on Wireless Edge Intelligence and IEEE WCNC Workshop on Intelligent Computing and Caching at the Network Edge since 2018, and a TPC Chair for IEEE/CIC 2018 Workshop on CONTEST. He served as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking.
